The Pencil : Open Night

11.jpg

Just a quick post to say a big thank you to all who came to the opening night of Harriet and Luke's exhibition 'The Pencil' last wednesday. We had some great responses about the work on show and made a few sales, which is always nice!

Unfortunately we were having such a good time playing host and hostess we forgot the get our camera out till towards the end of the night, so didn't get chance to take as many snaps as we'd have liked, but here are some that we did manage to take before everyone left! exh1 exh2 exh3 exh4

The work will be on show for the whole of february, so do feel free to pop into The Wheatsheaf anytime to have a look.

Illustration cool : Lee Bamforth

screen-shot-2010-10-29-at-20-17-31.png

Lee is a 23 year old Award Winning Illustrator and Designer from his hometown of Sheffield.

In 2009 he was awarded the Worldwide Graphic Design Digital Artist of the year, and the majority of his work can be seen around Sheffield, as well as Exhibitions, magazines and various websites on the internet.

When not locked away drawing, he sometimes likes to venture out to Live Illustrate and Paint at various events to showcase his style of Artwork.

Lee is a self confessed geek who has an obsession collecting 35mm Cameras, Graphic Novels, as well as Horror & Sci-Fi VHS films from the 80s, and wishes it was Halloween everyday.

To view more examples of his work, check out his website www.helloleebamforth.com

He doesn't plan on changing the face of Art & Design, but he does plan on making it an awful lot prettier.
